Summer Programs

Finding a safe and quality summer camp program is important. Consider the following when researching summer camp programs:

  • Ask any camp you are considering for your child whether they conduct FBI criminal background checks (using fingerprints) on all employees.
  • Or pick a camp that operates year-round as a child care site or within a school setting. Under law, those programs are already required to conduct FBI fingerprint checks.
  • If you are in need of financial aid to fund summer camp for your child, check out Summer Camp Scholarships for School-Age Children, a program supported by Children's Services Council.
